Flow control is important
Flow control is important because it is possible for a sending computer to transmit information at a faster rate than the destination computer can receive and process it. This can happen if the receiving computers have a heavy traffic load in comparison to the sending computer, or if the receiving computer has less processing power than the sending computer.
Overview
10/100/1000M Ethernet Optical Fiber Switch is with four 10/100/1000M UTP ports and two 1000M SFP/SC/FC/ST Fiber ports. The end users can use different optical module according to his requirement, for example: 1000Base-T, 1000Base-SX, 1000Base-LX etc.

1. 4*RJ45 ports and 2*optical sockets, convert Optical-Electric Ethernet signals between 10/100/1000M UTP ports and 1000M optical fiber ports;
2. Switch Ethernet signals between port and port;
3. Supports Auto MDI / MDI-X function;
4. Supporting the transmission of extra-long VLAN packets;
5. Flow control for full duplex and half duplex;
6. All optical module brands are supported; if SFP type, support hot-plug supported.
